Description

We are currently looking for a Receiver/Picker for a STD relief (Potentially to the end of July)

3 days a week

7:30 – 4 p.m.

$19.00/hour

Forklift/reach truck certification required

MUST have Steel Toes

WAREHOUSE DUTIES:

  • Receives and reviews all incoming purchase orders for accuracy
  • Rotates stock and puts stock away, using a forklift/reach truck as required
  • Picks orders accurately and with proper care. Double-checks orders
  • Performs duties in the freezer and dry warehouse, as required
  • Daily down-stocking and fully filling of homes
  • Responsible for general upkeep and sanitation of warehouse
  • Ensures all overstock cards are accurately maintained utilizing FIFO.
  • Ensure all best practices are adhered to at all times.
  • Manage and report all safety, repairs and maintenance requirements to the Operations Manager.
  • Ensure that all aspects of the HACCP food safety plan are followed.
  • Ensure general maintenance and upkeep of all material handling equipment

  • 3. DISTRIBUTION DUTIES:

  • Loads and unloads trucks, using a forklift/reach truck as required
  • Books outbound appointments
  • Fills out and maintains pallet logs (Chep & CPC)
  • Fills out all transports bill of lading and any other transport documents

  • 4. CUSTOMER FOCUS (Internal/External)

  • Follows up on all customer requests and questions to ensure appropriate response Is made and the customer is satisfied.

  • Acts in a manner that conveys a positive image of the company to all customers.
  • Accepts responsibility to consider how actions affect our customers and our company.

  • 5. QUALITY ASSURANCE

  • Ensures that all products are fit for sale in compliance with all federal and provincial Food safety laws and regulations.
  • Ensures that any product that is unfit for sale due to damage, expiration, or any other reason is it removed from the pick slot, labeled “On Hold – Do Not Sell”, and brought to the attention of the Operations Manager ensures that all products requiring special storage conditions are stored in such a manner as to fulfill that requirement.
