Are you a HR/Payroll Specialist looking for a new opportunity?

Our client - a leading technology distributor is searching for a HR/Payroll Specialist to join their office on a permanent full time basis. The candidate must have minimum 3 years experience in a similar role. Knowledge of various Employment Standards Act, Healthy and Safety and WSIB is required. 

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am-5pm

Salary: $55,000-$65,000 depending on experience

Location: Brampton/Mississauga 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner for both hourly and salary employees
  • Participate in recruitment process for temporary employees
  • Conduct new employee orientations, reference checks and pre-employment tests
  • Prepare sales performance results including commission payouts
  • Assist in performance review forms
  • Review and accurately code AP invoices
  • Assist in preparing and coordinating government agency remittances including federal GST/HST, Provincial 
  • Other administrative tasks as assigned

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in similar role
  • Actively pursuing certificate in HRPA program
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detail oriented, ability to prioritize and muli-task
  • Knowledge of various Employment Standards Act, Healthy and Safety and WSIB 
  • University/College degree in Business Administration and or Human Resources
  • Experience with ADP or similar software
